Winston produced one of the world's first pressure fryers which were used by KFC for the unique 'Fried Chicken' fast food. Frying at a set pressure enables the food to be cooked far quicker than a conventional fryer, speeding up the cooking process and sealing in the natural juices and flavors of the meat. The equipment is mainly used for chicken, but it also produces excellent results when frying potato wedges and other meats such as spare ribs. The simple design of the Winston fryer gives years of trouble free operation, the large collector pot at the bottom of the fryer is designed to hold the coating crumbs that escape the coated product, fryers can use 1 filter unit for several machines, 2 larger models with the capacity of cooking 4 head (36 pcs) or 6 head (54 pcs) of chicken in one batch. Tiered baskets are used to separate the chicken whilst cooking; this gives a uniform cook to the whole load. |
